Oh dear. This is a sad state of affairs. Is wikidot being run by politicians. ?
This week we will be running an experiment involving placing small number of contextual ads on a free wikis. To support our servers, a lot of development time and all the growing costs it takes to provide solid and fast wiki hosting, we are looking for optimal ways to keep Wikidot as free and open as possible, and to provide service to both our free and paying subscribers. And keep everyone enjoying using Wikidot.

So lets put myself in Michals shoes for a second here…..
- announce adsence where the admin of a site takes a 80% cut.
This will no doubt bring in some income. But i doubt much. Certainly not enough to live on.
- announce PRO plan and requests fro testers.
Whooa! within the pace of 8 hrs the required 200 tester were signed up! I have never seen so much activity! This could be promising. if 200 sign up for a $40.00 plan thats $8000… and that will be just for starters. This is worth pursuing. especially as it will be repeat business!
- Actvate pro payment plans…..
Were in the money, Were in the money… Oh how i sing in the shower in the morning.
I can't wait to see all those testers sign up for pro plans.

oh bugger! of the 200 who showed HUGE interest, ony 15 signed up!
Bang goes the Porche !!
Well lets wait a bit and see what happens perhaps tomorrow will bring better news.

15 of them are since the PRO lite system came into being.
so lets take an average of still about $40 a per CUSTOMER
Comes to about $ 3400
i think i might be inclined to say i was rather disappointed.

This is confusing me .. I see he adsense on my laptop ( logged out) on FF (2) on the I-Band site.
But not logged out on FF2 and IE7 on Home PC ( with bigger screen size ? )
Sometimes I do not understand how my PC is working.
I think it could be the same issue as in the new thread with the search & FF mistakes… Ads are set by default now to noscript ? (disable)

take a big hammer and hit your computer as hard as you can. repeatedly!
then go and buy a new one that works :-)
crome opera ie7 and ff3 all seem to be functioning perfectly.
reading some of your other posts i am pretty sure that the problem lies at your comp.
i would recommend you install ff, and ie and re install.
i have had the odd quirk myself in the past. doing a reinstall usually fixes probs.
like you i also test when things appear to go wrong with different comps. this is always a good idea , as we recently discovered :-)
